With that being said they are also fiercely loyal and generally excellent fighters so few males consider it wise to try to leave once bonded.

While technically omnivores, Tiefling physiology requires the consumption of large amounts of meat high in iron to sustain their bones, horns and blood flow - all of which are extremely high in iron. Tieflings without this necessary nutrient actually go into a decreased state of awareness and can become increasingly violent to those around them without realizing it. There are multiple accounts of tieflings in situations of forced starvation eventually going crazy and destroying the everything around them in their attempt to feed.
